Anything else you'd like to say regarding your recommendation?
I would give the program five stars but I know that it is not right for everyone. Many people drop out, but the rewards are potentially very great if you stick it through.
How much did you enjoy the course?
Why do you feel that way?
I can say at the end of the program that I enjoyed the program but I remember many times during the program that I strongly considered leaving. I am very glad that I did not.

How did this course help you?
I was so moved by what this course did for me that I wrote an account of it to share with people considering it. Here's an abridged version: What I’ve gotten out of the Team Management and Leadership Program (TMLP) Peter Gales (Nov ‘04 – Nov ’05) I’m more intentional in my life I’ve become aware that I have a new intentionality, motivation and positivism about my life. The program has transformed my attitude and effectiveness towards the things I’ve taken on as well as given me the strength and confidence to take on things that I would not have taken on. I begin to understand what it takes to stay in the state of intentionality and creation I’ve often shared about going to seminars or reading the inspirational book and feeling great for a couple days or weeks and then finding myself right back in the way life was. I understand the nature of transformation (not like I know the truth of course), but I at least begin to understand the parallel with exercise i.e. learning the exercises and working out/exercising regularly. The importance of a daily practice to stay present to possibility. I see this program as a giant re-wiring of old thought patterns that had my life show up the way it did. Living into a limitless and empowering future requires a different circuitry or thought pattern, and without a daily practice to solidify or ingrain the new thought patterns, I’ve seen how I just revert to old ways of being. I see what’s possible in all relationships I see what’s possible in relationships with all people. I know that I can do the work to break through the barriers that human beings put between themselves and other people, and that once those barriers are removed, there really is love and affinity there with EVERY human being. I have friends in my life through TMLP that I would never have allowed into my life had it not been for my experience on Team. I am much richer in friends and networks of people out of my newfound ability to constantly “give something up” (letting go of blame and right and wrong), and taking responsibility for my contribution to whatever was not working in a relationship. And I get that I don’t need the other person to do or say anything. I get what’s possible if everyone operated this way, and … why not begin with me? (“Be the change you wish to see in the world” Gandhi.) Giving something up/Getting off it This is the real key. I still get hooked, but much less than before. This may be my greatest gift from the program. Holding on to blaming others or situations doesn’t work. There is no victory from putting someone else “in their place”. It only leads to continuing conflict. I’m clear. I have experienced on team the value that opens up for others and me when I choose to look for value in an unworkable situation or an individual that chooses to remain out of integrity. I now see that there is often something for me to learn in any situation of unworkability as long as I choose not to blame others for that situation existing. Emptying the cup. I’ve read so often in Oriental philosophy that to gain knowledge you must first empty your cup (of what you think you know). So many times in my life I would stop listening when I hear someone start speaking about something I thought I had the final word on. Being in this one year program forced me into situations where I could not walk out or distract myself when my mind said “Oh that again”, or something worse. Nine times out of ten I got something new out of “listening newly”. I understand at a fundamental level that there is no such thing as the truth, no one can see everything about anything, but if you make the effort you can appreciate a different facet of the diamond. I can make a difference The effect of having conversations that empower has become clear to me and I get the powerful “others to others” ripple that I can create by simply who I’m being in communication. There is more to write, but for now I think this should give you the essence of the new backbone the Team Management & Leadership Program has created for me.

Would you like to clarify or add anything to the ratings you have just given?
My ratings for the Provider and the instructors are not high because the program at the time had several issues that proved unworkable for some. The power of the program is that despite these issues and breakdowns, in fact maybe because of them, the results produced are potentially very great. The trick I think is to continually bring the principles of the pre-requisite courses (Communication Access to Power and Communication Power to Create) to your experience of the program.
