Assuming you understand the importance of stories to your being an effective leader, I would say this or perhaps one of Doug's retreats is a must do. He is one of the very, very, few (in fact I do not know of anyone else at this writing) who is not saying "Use stories to be a more effective speaker" but "Let me show you how to use and tell stories effectively."

Like anything else, how well you are able to use stories after the course will depend on how much you practice, but I do believe that whenever I'm called upon to use a story I now have the building blocks to choose and deliver one effectively.
