I have been taking the NLP Practitioner Certification course at the International Center for Positive Change and Hypnosis in Manhattan New York. I have found NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) to be both a fascinating area of study and a wonderful “next step” on my personal learning curve. Over the past few years I have been on a self-development journey that has led me to take many courses including Landmark Education and I can say without a doubt that NLP has led me to a deeper understanding of how we communicate, both through our voice and through body language. However, NLP is more than just learning about communication, it also has given me many tools to be able to control my inner state, discover my true voice, learn how to change in positive ways and help achieve my outcomes. This course has also shown me how I can assist others to make the personal shifts they desire and move towards their personal goals. This course is taught in an extremely experiential way, ensuring that you really get to feel the changes that are occurring as they happen. These experiences are backed up with solid knowledge and superb teaching from Sarah Carson and Shawn Carson. Sarah and Shawn are both extremely knowledgeable and truly teach from the heart. In the big city of New York, where so many people are out to make a quick buck or to take advantage, these two are dedicated to sharing their deep understanding of NLP in a true and open way. They are both eager to expand their own learning and underpin their teaching of NLP with parallels from a wide variety of other therapeutic platforms, educational systems, and their wider learning. Both Sarah and Shawn are wonderfully fun and engaging teachers and I am always curious when I come to class to discover what I will be learning knowing that whatever it is, I will have a great time doing it! Shawn and Sarah are also always ready to help, support and expand the learning of their students in any way they can. This has ranged from offering flexible payment plans, loaning out personal NLP video’s and DVD, hosting NLP Movie nights and helping students who are starting out in developing their own NLP Personal Change businesses.
